"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

Thanks a lot Pezmc I start with different sheets of wood, glue and clamp them.... this process is called lamination... then, once the glue is set, I cut out the basic shape with a band saw, then chisel, grind, file, sand with ascending grits of sandpaper and oil then apply wax with steel wool to create a very smooth finish.
